I got the following message on my car display "regenerate soot filter". What does this mean? It this something I can do or do I need to take it to my local dealer?

you could search the forum for a detailed answer but in short, drive your car on a motorway for a while until it goes away.

Drive for 20mins at a speed over 50mph to Regenerate..

If the message does not dissapear then a Forced Regen will be required. Dealer May charge you.. You can only forceably regen twice then the FAP must be replaced at a cost of £1000+
