Should be fine. In the past, I've unloaded the car, including my handbag, put it just a couple of meters away and the keyless ignition wouldn't turn off. The boot is fine too. Just today I wanted to open the boot to put the shopping in. My bag was no more than two metres from the rear bumper and it wouldn't open.
As for ignition, I think I am right in saying that even with the car unlocked, the key has to be within the cabin for it to start.

i had to be within one person distance for the car to open - and for the car to start you need the keycard within the car

If you look in your owner's manual - it shows the sensing area around the car (an orange blob around it). It's not a very big area but if you are inside a caravan, you would have to park the car touching the van to stand any chance of anyone opening/knicking it.
