Bad engine start

Hello everyone,
My name is Ivan from Russia. Drive Renault since 2000. Had 19, Symbol (I think European name is different), now have Scenic II. Great car and in general, Renault is good. Engine K4M, I think, 1,6 manual gear box. Baught brand new November 2007. Manufactured December 2006 (there was a good discount^)))
The problem that appeared to me is an uncertain start. Makes no difference whether its cold or hot. Runs perfect. After long parking, ovbernight or after 10-20 minutes of parking I can hardly start it up. Takes three -four tries until it starts. If it stops by inaccurate starting, lets at a cross light, than starts immidiately. But once again, after a short parking or overnight, starts on third or fourth attempt. The starter works, the engines turns, you can hear it tries to start but it does not. Ocasionally, when I touch accelerator it starts eventually and than runs well.
Visit to the local dealer in Moscow dod not show anything. Computer scan says all works well. But it does not. There are another Megane stays there with the same problem and I knew from Russian forum guys, Clio 2 in Ekaterinburg and one Megane in St. petersburg.
Representative from Renault group in Russia reccomended to change various controllers and other computer things. Not on my car, on another megane, That did not work.
I wonder if someone experience this problem and perhaps what was the solution.
Once again, it runs perfectly well. The only problem is to start it after long or short parking.
I hope to hear from someone with some idea.
Your's, Ivan. Russia, Moscow.

Hi,

Had exactly the same problem with my Megane.

Have the garage check and clean the throttle body, that's probably the cause of your problems! When they cleaned it on my car, the engine never gave any starting problems again :)

cheers Man... yes I read some of theese messages... I think this is something we did not do... anyhow, thank you. will come back if there is a solution

Renault is a good car, but their warranty and problem solving policy is...I'll say beyond criticism... If this year I'll go to France will try to meet Mr. Gohsn... I have few words to say as complaint...
