Faulty Window

Postby davidloveshismeg » Wed Apr 16, 2008 4:54 pm

Hey all,

Just got my meg back from the garage about 30mins when i tried to put the window down, its not completely dead but will move a matter of inches and then stops so it takes about 7 or 8 pushes to drop the window then another 7 or 8 pushes to bring it back up. Would this be the window motor or have anything to do with the mechanic removing the altenator from the car? any help much appreciated!

Thanks
David

Close all windows the hard way, then hold all switches up for a few seconds. This will reset the controller. Garages don't do it due to attention span problems ;-)

I agree - most non Renault garages don't even know how to do it! Surely it would only cost them a telephone call to find out though! :-(
