The ribbon cable that connects to the air bag behind the stearing wheel has broken (someone told me that it's called a clock spring) it is white with copper threads running through it. Is it expensive to have repair/replaced?

A new one from renault for a cc 1.5dci with cruise was including the vat £104 it includes the indicator and wiper stalks hence the price. I replaced mine when I fitted the cruise control. So not really that expensive.

Just noticed lately - that my steering colom was getting noisy as in a clicking noise

Took off the top an dbottom housings and found a small ribbon cable sticking out - white in colour - around 10 mm in width -

Has anyone made a repair to this ribbon cable -

Mind I'm a tight Jock git ;)
