Diesel fuel flap & MOT time...

Hi,
Sorry if this has been pointed out before (couldn't find anything after a search) but just thought I'd warn anyone about to go for test to take a look at the flexible sealing collar that sits on the inside face of the fuel flap (not sure all Meg's have the same layout).
Mine had split in half on my '05 1.9 dci (first test) and of course merited a fail. 'Aah yes sir - we get quite a few of these fail with that'. A call to Renault for a rubber collar would be a couple of quid you'd think? No. You can't get the collar on its own as its part of the entire black plastic fuel door and housing - at a princely £38!!
Anyone know of a cheaper way of doing it (breakers yard next year for a spare I think)?
