HI,

When I start my Engine from cold-starts first time but the revs sit at about 600 RPM ( feels almost rough idleing) then after 5-10 seconds increase to 800 RPM which appears the normal tick over. Has anyone else noticed this, and if so-any rectification?

What engine do you have? 1.6 by any chance?

No-it's the 1.5 dci-upon looking in the Haynes manual, the only possibility it may be is the airflow/temp sensor- as once it's past it's hic-up stage then it runs fine and it's plainly not the pump at fault.

i need to change the AFM on mine. i dont have the same start up probs as you though. when im coming to a stop and i put the clutch in the revs will drop to 600 then it'll hunt for a second before settling.

get ready to be arse raped at renault for a AFM. 110 plus vat!

Well certainly sounds a similar problem to mine, and as expected-a heafty bill will no doubt be 'meal of the day'. I will give it a few more days and then book it in to a local 'french diesel' specialist to see what they can find.
