Vent / Heater / Aircon blowers not blowing

Postby Covkid » Thu Jan 17, 2008 7:39 pm

My blowers on my heater have just packed up on me .......
Its a manual aircon. The A/c light comes on when pressed and when i turn the dial to 1,2,3, or 4 i can here the a/c engaging under the bonnet (compressor) but there is nothing coming from the blowers..
I assume that the manual speed control inside the car is ok because it engages the a/c when its turned up...

Ive tried the fuse in the glovebox and thats fine..

Ive searched across the forum but I couldnt find anyone that had posted the problem before...

I would appreciate any help or general guess's you guys could offer, as the misted windows are driving me mad

I havnt. Are the relays the ones under the fuses in the glovebox???

Is it just take out the relay... replace... listen them engaging?

Is there any more fuses under the bonnet that have anything to do with the aircon/blowers?

I have just noticed that when I accelerate hard i do feel a bit of heat coming from the vents... Could that just be heat from the engine bay coming through???

I think I also have the same problem, I was driving with the heater on full then realised that it had gone cold. When i checked the blowers were not blowing?
Tried the fuse inside the glove box and it appears fine, does any one know which relay is for the heater blower and also is there any fuses under the bonnet that would stop it working.
Did you sort yours in the end if so can you offer any help?

auxiliary heater relay - diagnostic socket - hands-free carphone microphone

This is located on the Protection and Switching Unit (Fuse and Relay board to me and you!) underneath the plastic cover in the engine bay.

There is an additional fuse box located underneath the PSU:

Have you lost any other functions?

In the glovebox fuse box, the top relay is for the electric windows and the bottom is for accessories.
