Mysterious fault codes Megane II

Postby Theros » Mon Jan 14, 2008 5:37 pm

My first question :D ....

Today, when I was driving to home, I drove over the small hole which was on the road.

Immediately appeared text where reads: ESP/ASR Fault. Then second message: Electronic fault.

Then there are ABS and ESP/ASR lights burning and also service light is on.

Brakes are working normally (I don't know ABS) and car working normally, but those light are burning.

Any idea what might cause the problems?

have you turned your engine off and on again?
Has it cleared the fault??

I ran over a brick once which destroyed an alloy wheel (on my old car) immediately the ABS fault appeared but disappeared once i restarted the engine.

I have tried to re-start my car several times. First time it helped for 2 kilometers, but after that it don't help.

I will take my car to carage at this morning....damn it is expensive place. Normal hourly wage is 65€ and if you paint your car it will cost 95€/hour.

I asked price of that ABS sensor, if they need to change it, and it is quite expensive--> 126€ (front) and 88€ (rear).
