Lately, when I pull my handbreak up it just falls back down.
Sometimes when I pull the button on the handbreak out further it manages to stay up.
anyone ever experienced this?

Do a search on the forum, there have been a few people with similar problems and I think the whole handbrake assembly costs quite a bit to replace.

This problem happened to me 3 weeks ago.To easily rectify, lift centre armrest & carefuly pull away plastic trim forwards where handbrake lever goes thro.Look inside & you will see resting against the right hand flat arm a thin rod, which works the button & connects to the ratchet. Now,you will see the thin rod has a bend in it & all you need to do is get a pair of pin nosed pliers & gently squeeze it towards the flat arm, thus making the rod 1/2mm longer & allowing the the operating 'hook' to locate into the ratchet, lightly spray with wd 40 & jobs a goodun !!.Also if you need to adust the handbrake cable, you will see the cables & locknut beneath the ratchet.
Hope this makes sense,if not,pm me with your landline no. & i will explain verbally.
