ASR Light

Hi chaps.
My 05 55 dCi 86 Sport Tourer (normally faultless) had the ASR light flashing the other day - bizarrely only when the left indicator was flashing! Handbook says little about this - only that the ASR light will flash to warn if traction control is cutting in. Problem seems to have gone for the time being...anyone else come across this? My car is due for a service soon (36k).
ASR light is the amber 'slippy road in a triangle' light btw...
