Postby Say..."Renno" » Tue Dec 18, 2007 3:29 pm

Is there an after market device that brings the seat belt closer to the driver when you enter the car..is it just me getting older or does everyone else find it a PITA to get the belt....

What you mean you don't have a pit crew to strap you in everytime you head out in the Megane :gaga: :driving

That's a new one on me?

It's the two-door version, isn't it?

The hatch of a hatchback or estate is commonly referred to as a door. Hence, Meganes are either 3 or 5 door (with the possible exception of the CC, which could be referred to as a 2 door!). :)

yeah the 3 door is a bit of a stretch, not seen anything to help, i do also get banging from the pax seatbelt buckle (silver bit) boinging of the plastic on the door piller, came up with a soulution for that, pull the belt down about 1/2 inch to inch, lift the belt buckle up so silver part is facing up towards the height adjuster and tuck it in the slot, see no more banging and if you get a passenger it will drop down with no fuss when they grab the belt, if they can reach it ....

Theres no quick fix then..I'll have to put the thinking cap on .. :D .....I had a mazda rx7 and it had a neat little strap on the seat shoulder which held the belt and you could release it a blink if you needed to get into the back.......going off to look in my box 'o bits...
