Is this an easy task, any guides anywhere?

its easy enough mate, just like changing spark plugs. just be very careful not to cross thread them though. remove the top cover and you'll see how to get at them. you'll need a long 10mm socket (1/4'' drive) and a thin (1/4'' drive) extension bar. Torque: 15Nm. just make sure you dont drop any dirt etc down into the bores and dont overtighten. no harm in putting some copper thread etc on the threads to aid removal should you ever have to change them again

Be careful when removing them as well; - one forum member snapped one off in the head. :(

Result: Head off and out of pocket :-(

I bought mine from my local GSF at about £7 each. Make: Beru. Part number -- don't remember, but can find out.

It is a simple job. Use penetrating spray, undo the thread a bit, then turn it left-right to let the penetrant into the thread, then unscrew it completely. The trick is that the tip of the plug is of small diameter and it goes through a tight hole in the cylinder head. Any deposits on the tip may complicate the removal. So, be patient and let the penetrating fluid to do its job. Don't apply more than 30-40Nm when undoing plugs -- stop and think if they are too stubborn.
