Megane Driveshaft CV Boot

Hi,
On checking my car for any problems prior to its M.O.T I found that the central cv boot on the o/side had lost a small amount of grease? on closer inspection I noticed the tiny split in the boot no bigger than 2mm even so it was clear that the grease was escaping, Knowing that this was an M.O.T failure I set to removing the drive shaft to fit a new cv boot,

The o/side drive shaft is a two piece shaft the first part has a support bearing so there is a "middle" cv boot as well as an "outer" an "inner" cv boot.

Now the fun starts! I now have a perfectly servicable drive shaft sat on my garage floor waiting for a cv boot? when I went to my local Renault dealer they informed me that only the inner and outer boots were available? the middle boot is not and advised me that I needed to buy a whole drive shaft at a cost of £257+vat!! yea right...and throw a good one away....so much for re-cycling!

Even worse I have tried all my local motor factors willing to settle for a pattern part but no one can help?

Can anyone tell me where I can get one of these cv boots...????

Ta.

Ps,
cant use a universal boot....the drive shaft has a sort of triangulated form and the boot matches this shape (NOT ROUND like conventional cv boots

look around some other renault dealers in your area, maybe they can get you the part that you need

what about going to a scrappy and seeing if you can get a whole driveshaft from them and then butcher it for the boot?
