bluetooth (TM) in car kits

I am thinking about buying a Bluetooth (TM) in car parrot (TM) kit.

Are these kits just a plug and play kit for the Megane 2007 or do I need to cut wires?

I see it as, whip out the radio connect everything to the back, hey presto.

But I feel there is more involved. e.g. How does power get to it?Does it invovle a trip into the fuse box or battery?

Also can I disconnect the radio from the back of it to work on it or do I need to take the -ve terminal off the battery?

Each kit is different and I've got a Nokia CK-7W... It's been in since i got the car but I think I used scotch locks and took power from the ignition live from the back of the stereo, so it gets power when the ignition is on. There's probably a ground too.

You'll also want to connect the stereo mute too.

A guy at work had huge problems trying to connect his Parrot kit to his BMW 5-series.

i bought an extention iso block off ebay for £3 and terminal block
spliced the wires on that so when you sell the car you take that with the hands free (bluetooth) kit and no wires damaged on loom and ready to connect to new car

the parrot kits are fully integrated. they come with ISO blocks. you dont need to do any cutting.
