Air bag/ service light.

Postby paulbucknall » Sun Nov 04, 2007 9:08 pm

I have an 04, 1.9d Sport Tourer. A clicking noise started yesterday when i turn the steering wheel and now the airbad warning light and the service lights have come on, any Ideas what the problem could be and the likely cost to fix? Cheers.

The clicking noise is probably your indicator stalk? Does the noise see to come from that area or is it deeper down? If it is it could be the bolt at the bottom of the stearing column, there is a Renault fix for this?

As for the air bag light, check the connectors under both front seats are secure, again another common problem.
Make improvements, not excuses!

It sounds more like wiring or something has come out of place going in to the steering wheel and it's catching and making the clicking noise when the wheel is turned, would that be possible and could it make the warning lights come on? cheers.
