Hands free card & anti hijack door locks...

I have an interesting question.

I was told that over 6 mph the doors lock automatically as an anti hijack feature.

Does that still work with the hands free card?

Also if it does, then won't the doors just simply unlock because the card is in the car?

the door still locks, and only unlocks when you open the door, quite a nice feature

won't open from outside but if said hijacker broke your window while you were in driving and opened the door from inside it'd open. likewise if you had windows down in summer...

Think you can turn this feature (Renault Anti Intruder Device, RAID) off or on by holding down the door lock button on centre console for about 5 seconds until it beeps at you. You can tell if its operational as you will hear the central locking clunk once you get to around 6mph.
It is a nice feature but fairly limited should someone really want you out of the car they will smash the window, or reach in if window open as Ray mentions.
