The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hi All,

Bought a 2004 1.6vvt CC and it's just over 36000 miles. Had it serviced last week at Renault (major service), and asked them to check it over while it was in. Dunno what's happening - thought it was a loss of power, but 9 times out of 10 when taking off in first gear - just before I change into 2nd the car lunges. Thought it might be the clutch as there's not much of a biting point - has anyone any ideas? Could it be this - oor do you think it's linked to a loss of power under 2000 revs?

First port of call is to get the coils checked out, then the TDC sensor and finally the Dephaser Pulley

Thanks for that - will pop it back into the garage next week for them to check - I feel like a learner sometimes (only been driving 18 years) and feel embarrased at light cos folk can see it!
