The Mégane II Owners' Club

What does this mean?

I hev had my Megane for 3 weeks now (1.6VVT 52 Plate). Has been to the local dealer as the airbag light is constantly on, and Engine Management light came on. They are waitig for a dephaser pulley to come in.

Would this be related??

I have had the same problem today, I was driving down the road when suddenly my steering went heavy and ESP/ASR SYSTEM FAULT warning light came on, along with airbag light,traction control light and service light. I pulled over switched off the car and tried starting it again and the battery was dead. Once i got some jump leads on it it started but as I indicated the system fault light came on again, I managed to get home. Once on my drive with the car still running I pressed the window switch and the warning light kept coming on and off everytime i done so. Im suspecting my battery needs changing as I have been having trouble with it recently, fingers crossed!

thanks for your response I jump started my car today and took it down to a local car parts store (no esp asr system fault light came on) and had my battery tested and that indicated that i needed a new battery, so had the battery replaced, so far so good i drove the car for around an hour and no problems. Now its time for a service and cambelt change. BLOODY CARS!
