Possible fuse problem?

Postby GFM1 » Tue Sep 25, 2007 8:26 pm

When my wife was unplugging her phone charger from the cigarette socket, she noticed a spark. I've tested it and it doesn't work now. Also the AC light and rear demister light have gone as well.

I'm assuming fuse, but the ones by the glovebox appear okay. I say appear, 'cos its almost impossible to get at them and I'm not sure which fuse it should be. The diagram doesn't correspond to the position of the fuses, so I've checked the ones I can get at.

Is this likely to be one under the bonnet, and if so is it a dealer job?

Thanks.

Oh, in case its relevant its a 03 1.6 Dynamique.

No it is not a dealer job, it is quite easy to get to the fuses under the bonnet but it takes a bit of time.
Remove the first cover ( two screws on top)
There is now another cover and to remove this you have to disconnect the main feed lead (red).
You can now withdraw the fuses to enable access.
I am also looking for the fuse that feeds my lighter do you know which one it is.
