Has it had a replacement wind screen?,if so the fitters my not have changed the gel pad & sensor which is located inside interior mirror housing. For some reason auto lights & wipers seem to have a mind of their own if the sensor is not changed.New sensor & sticky gel pad kit about £80,main dealer part only.

Mine only come on early when the sun is out and low in the sky. Otherwise I'd say they come on about 2 minutes after I would have turned them on myself if they were manual. I often find myself driving around dusk thinking that its about time the lights come on and just as I'm about to give up on the auto and switch them on they light up! I'm surprised they aren't linked to the wipers as I often find I have to manually turn them on in wet conditions.
At the end of the day... ..it gets dark
