AIRCON NOT WORKING :(

Postby Reno » Tue Jul 10, 2007 8:18 pm

Hi,

Had my Megane II re-gas today, without succes !!! (needed 250)

If i press A/C button only light i button, but no Aircon.

I could check the relay myself, does anyone know where the relay is located?

If so, is access easy? The fuses in the engine bay are really difficult to get at or is it me being stupid!!

Also where would the sensor be, I could check for a loose connection.

Thanks.

Hi,

I just found the relay, it`s under / in the fuse box. But there is 4 of the same relay and 1 other (big relays) but non of the are named, which of them are to the Aircon ???

When i push the A/C button, there is now "clicking" from the relay ???
I can hear the relay when i push the rear windows heater button!!!

Webcode has posted about this before. Not sure which relay it is? Hopefully he will be along to help shortly?

Yes hope so.

I found also this from Webcode and i will try it in the weekend !

Its possibly the Tri-state pressure switch, which is a common problem on the Megane.. The switch location can cause water to contaminate the connector..

Put the car on a ramp.. Remove the undertray and look under the front right handside on the bottom pipe that enters the condensor.
The switch can be unscrewed and easily replaced without loss of refrigerant.

Hi,

Sorry but not sure or can´t find the pressure switch, i have moved the undertray and look on the bottom pipe. The only thing i can see is the Sensor (there is a electric wire to the pipe) at the bottom on the pipe.

How does this pressure switch look like ?
