Hi cactusbob
Thought so but I wasn't sure.
Just a thought - as soon as you tell your insurance company what the vehicle is, they know it has cat 1 protection, Hence the premiums are lower.
So if their databese (and the pnc) both have that information from the vehicle manufacturer, surely there is some way us mere mortals should be able to access it too??

Re: Which Megane's have an Alarm??????
Hi I have a megane hatchback 1.9 dci privilege (130) and im wondering which alarm it is beacuse im trying to get a insurance quote. I have a certificate of installation and it says,
product description: renault compact 7887
thatcham evaluation: tc2-1247/0802
and on the insurance site theres an option of renault compact 7895/c, renault compact alarm, and renault compact alarm CAT 1, could someone tell me which one it is please, and also is there any immobiliser and if so what is it called?

they should be CAT 1 alarms but your insurance should also list "manufacturer fitted"
