Went on a long trip, managed over 1000 miles on tank and got a average of 81.7mpg. Have picture of trip to prove. Have had nearly 90mpg on a eco run. These engines will do brilliant mpg if driven right.

I love this topic!
My Megane is top dog!
It is a 1.5, turbo diesel, 6 gear with cruise control (privilage).
Its average is 59mpg -
I've done 76mpg at best and thats driving through urban areas, as soon as I drive on motorways if i do 70mph it goes down to 60mpg but if i do 82mph = 130kph then it goes down to 52-55mpg.

I also use Shell V-Power Diesel only which does help alot.
I have had 830miles from a full tank.

Not bad eh?

My 1.6 16v Dynamique is averaging 34 mpg, is that ok? Seems a bit poor to me.
mostly drive around town with the odd 20/30 mile trip at weekends.

My clock just got reset at service, but over the last 7,500 miles I averaged 37.8 in my 1.9dci Coupe Cabriolet. I always use BP Ultimate Diesel. I have a lead-foot and accelerate as quickly as possible at every opportunity. All in all I am happy with the mileage I get and am also happy with the extra kick I get from the BP Ultimate, even though it does cost £1.27 a litre at the moment.

I'm currently getting 57.6 MPG from my 1.5 dci 106. I think its amazing as my old 1.4 only did 35 mpg.

Too much junk en yo' trunk? Or is it the Crosstown Traffic?

I was getting that from my '05 plate 1.9DCI Coupe Cab which I thought was OK for my driving style (lead foot, fast accelerating, late braking) and I only ever use BP Ultimate Diesel.

P.S. Apologies to all the Pelicans, but BP Ultimate is my fuel of choice.

That'll be the reason then I guess. Those 1.9dci's need to stretch their legs.

I drove A roads from Sussex to Bristol and back last weekend and averaged around 48mpg. As soon as I got back to my daily city commute and I'm watching the average tumble... :(

42-59 depending on where i'm driving. 42 is my average for commuting to work via York ring-road and I'm pretty sure I hit 59 on a long M1 run back to York from Kettering the other weekend :D
