They won't replace the FAP unless it's knackered, possibly force regeneration of it. Have you had any warning messages appear on the display about the FAP or regeneration?

Gave you duff info in an earlier reply (sorry  ). As your car is FAP fitted the oil you must use is 5W30 that meets the ACEA standard of C3 LOW SAPS.
Anything else will potentially contaminate the FAP and reduce it's working life.
Comma Syner-Z 5W30 is one example of a suitable lubricant for your engine https://www.commaoil.co.uk/ there are others of course.
Simon and Guy (oilman) will be able to provide you with more info and recommendations should you so wish

If you want more info on how the FAP works look at this. https://www.renault.co.uk/Innovations.aspx?page=fap and https://www.meganeownersclub.co.uk/forum ... php?t=2055

Had the Megane serviced yesterday, seems to have resolved the flat spot on the acceleration now. Had all the usual service items, i did mention the flat spot, they said if it returns i need to go back.

Havent had any warnings from the FAP i was doing a bit of research and now understand how it works......my Megane had the filter changed on it and now seems to run better

From your reply in servicing cost thread
i just paid £274 for my 130 DCi FAP service at 18,000......including two new front wipers

Did this include any discount for all the hassle you've had?
