Hi all

Has anyone had a problem with the release handle on the seats in these cars. Its the one that lets you pull the seat forward and allow passengers to get into the back.

Went to pick up the folks on Sunday from there trip to Amsterdam and when I tried to pull the handle to let them in the back it was just loose, as if the cable had snapped.

mine is fine,as you said it is most probably snapped.should be covered under warranty.

you bumped a 3 yr old thread?
it's the same in any car.. the cable's either snapped or come loose.

Hi all, My wife has a 3 door with this same problem. Both front seat cables have snapped which isn't good trying to get our 9 month old son into his car seat. I have looked at this but can't see how to sort this problem out. Has anybody had experience of replacing this cable?

I've got exactly the same problem. Does anyone have a solution to a car that isn't covered by warranty aymore??
