Air Con - its a con!!

My a/c wasn't working around a month ago and so took it into the dealer. They had it a few times and finally replaced the condenser and now its fine. All under warranty.

I was in the service center today and overheard the staff telling a customer that the air con needs to be checked/regased every 12 months and before regasing they test it for leaks by introducing die to the system. If it then turns out that it needs regassing they charge you 120 quid

Many thanks for all the replies, I work in an engineering suppliers and have spoken to one of the customers and I'm having it regassed for 30 squid result!!! Turn out its a relatively simple procedure and I will tell all how I get on!
