225 brakes

Postby billy1 » Sat Apr 14, 2007 12:30 am

Can any of you guys help. Breaks on my 225 work very well. when I brake I hear a hissing noise. Sounds like air. When I have the window down I can hear it even more. Take your foot off the pedal and the noise clears. Are they meant to do that ? is it part of the Brembo set up.

This is no help to you at all but I have several noises from my brake system.

1. When I reverse and apply the brakes it sounds like the car horn, I can just about live with that.
2. Slightly harder that normal braking, forwards, there is a thump or crunch coming from the front right wheel.
3. After braking harder still a couple of times (emergency stop fashion), there is a wheezing sound from inside the cabin everytime the brake pedal is operated.

On each occasion the brakes are working fine but I wouldn't expect any noise and it's a little disconcerting.

Anybody got any ideas

Mote.
