New boy with Megane 3 1.5 dci - got a few questions.

Hi all,

as the title says - I just got a lovely 62 plate 1.5 dci. What a lovely car. I do have a few little questions I was not able to find an anwser to and thouht to my self ... There will be a forum for these...

If any one has thoughts/comments on the following I would be very grateful

1. The dash is displaying "check stop & start". It drives and starts perfectly but the car was standing for a "good few" months before I go it so could it just need a few drives to get the battery back up to decent level? If it needs anything like a new battery or main dealer I'm not that fussed about it.

2. There is a message saying key card battery low. I have replaced the battery but it's still saying that. However the battery was quite old so don't know if it was also on it's last legs. I have new ones on order so this might anwser it's self.

3. The trip computer does not seem to show current fuel consumption. It cycles through all the other stuff like average - range - distent etc ... just never shows current consumption even when driving down a road over 30 mph (which I think is the minimum speed).

4. Keyless entry is not working. The keyless start is just fine (and wonderful) but when I walk up to the car and press the button on the handle the lights flash and there is a click like unlocking but it don't. If I press the open button on the key it opens just fine. This may be related to question 2 so time might tell on that one as well.

5. Anyone know somewhere I could get a spare key set up in the north east (Sunderland/UK area). I had a Scenic for a good while and the only key started to "go bad". It was not fun to never know if the car would start or not but as it was being sold it was not worth looking into it.

Thank you for reading this lot. I'm just loving the car and hope to keep it for a good long while. It just rides and feels so nice and I can see me being very happy with it.
