I recently bought a 2005 Renault Megane SL Oasis 16V 1598CC Petrol 5DR Manual second hand as my first car. When driving and warm it runs nicely and smoothly. However when starting it struggles to start and makes a ticking sound sometimes for up to 4/5 seconds whilst I'm pumping the accelerator a few times. Once started, it judders every so often for about the next minute. It then drives fine and smooth.
The 'check injection' light is on however we narrowed this down to the solenoid which when replaced doesn't help the car but makes the light turn off. It has just been in the garage to replace the cam belt and auxiliary belt. The oil has just been changed as well.
Firstly is it safe to drive for now? Secondly any ideas on how to fix this? TDC sensor or MAP sensor maybe?
