Infuriating when you can't find something. Over the last couple of months my (115,000) estate has developed a rattle on the offside interior at the back.
I have emptied the boot. No effect.
Underside checked on a lift. No trace.
I am left with something rattling either inside the offiside rear trim or the boot lid.
It is not a 'heavy' rattle, something like a metallic item in a tin box.
It is only noticeable at slow speeds over bumps.
Any suggestions?

Re: Estate Rear End Rattle
check the plastic trim that is attached to the boot. over time it tends to bend a little (is plastic...). With the car vibration, the one produced at low speeds, its the right "tune" for that plastic to vibrate and touch against the boot metal structure. Try to put a thick paper between those parts and go for a test run
