Air con help

I'm wondering if someone has came across this problem before.
I have 2007 Mégane. The AC isn't working. When I press the button on the dash it doesn't respond at all, no light comes on, nothing happens.
I've checked the obvious and all the AC related fuses in the glovebox and under the bonnet.
The AC system is charged and has enough pressure.
I've tried to research it online but with any issue I can see the orange light still comes on.
Is there something obvious I'm missing for why the button wouldn't respond? The rear window heater comes on as it should so I don't believe the switch unit is at fault.
