AC problem

Postby leferis » Tue Jun 30, 2020 7:28 pm

Hello,
I am driving renault megane 1.9 Dci facelift version. My Ac is not working. Pressed on High point and heard rushing sound, so i assume that system has some Freon in it. I have read errors with PyRen (DDT4All) app and can`t find any error codes regarding AC ( had internal temperature sensor error, but i have replaced it). Fuses are checked under the bonnet and glove box. Did somebody had this issue and solved it? Is it possible that is Ac pressure sensor error or should i just look for new AC compressor and get it changed?

Thanks in advance

Does the compressor go round when activated?

Out of gas would be my first stop. Take it somewhere for a free pressure check. Halfords do one, or buy a gauge and adapter for 10 quid.

Found out how to check Freon pressure on DDT4ALL. It showed 74hPA which is equals to 0.074 bar. Will have to go to AC specialist to check real pressure and fill the system

2 bar or 29psi of static pressure is required for the pressure switch to activate. I would get it leak checked first from a reputable garage using nitrogen and a sniffer. My local does one for 45 quid. They will locate where the actual leak is coming from. Halfords, if your in this country do a free one but it doesn't locate the actual leak. Only that you have one.
