Boot lock

I have a 2007 mk2 megane convertible and occasionally i cannot get the boot open i am not sure if it is a faulty micro switch what i would like to know if there is a way to get the boot open if the switch is not working

Hi not sure about convertible but the normal megane body you can open the boot by sticking a small sharp object into the locking mechanism and sliding it right or left (not sure of direction) There is a special tab easily seen where you insert the sharp object near boot floor of the lock...your best checking next time your boot is open as it can be difficult in a dark boot....
