Auto Dimming rear view mirror 2016 Gtline

Apologises if this is obvious.
Is there a switch/setting that turns the auto dimming mirror off/on.
I have been messing with the setting and now at night in the motorway etc the rear view mirror is hard to use.
I very vaguely remember that there may or may not have been a green led on the mirror to indicate that it is working ???? possibly
Any help advice appreciated
