REPLACED BATTERY IN KEY FOB.NOW NOT WORKING

Hi everybody I had a message in my car keycard battery low.. so I replaced the battery.. Now keycard not working..I double checked battery is good and replaced correctly...I recently spent £300 to get it through mot...Dont know how much a ney keycard would cost.Iknow its silly money...Any suggestions would be very welcome Thanx.

Just realised could it be not working cos my battery is dead...a message came on my car battery not charging about a week ago..I ignored this cos it went off and Ididnt see it again...Icant check cos the car is in garage and will not be looked at for a few days...If that is the problem will i have to reset the fob thanks

Fob should be ok. You might have to use the manual lock to get in and pop the bonnet though. Maybe get the battery checked/replaced asap. Hopefully it's not an alternator issue..
