Megane 1.5dci 106 2006 new clutch won't disengage

Postby Alsnew » Sun Jul 14, 2019 11:44 pm

Replaced master cylinder and slave cylinder, while doing so I replaced with new clutch, took days to bleed in the end I purchased easybleed kit ..pedal is working fine
But car won't go into gears when engine running
Only if I start it in gear already .....
Fingers on new clutch plate there are far more ..so I'm wondering could that be the problem or maybe over tightened bolts ? Or possible I've put clutch in backwards ?
Any help would be appreciated ive spend a while week already trying to sort this ..3days of that bleeding

I'd had a similar situation as yourself but I lost the clutch pedal altogether, changed master cylinder, the clutch and slave cylinder had only been changed less than 6 months previously, eventually I had to change all the piping, as in the pipework is a big round and fairly flat component, it took sometime before I established what this was, its actually a damper to stop vibration between the engine and the clutch pedal.
There is no way you can take it apart so in the end I changed all the plastic pipe from the master cylinder, which included this component, fairly expensive but end of problem.
I changed the master cylinder as I thought that was the problem, but was money I needn't have spent at that time.
Renault technical were very unhelpful and told me to take it to their dealer, who wanted £80 to find the problem.

Forgot to say the vibration damper is only fitted to Diesels, and I also have the 1.5 DCI.
