Hi, is there a way to get rid of the alarm altogether??
if there's a way please, please let me know.
just assume i am a nice guy and will notify the insurance about it.
i just cant take this no more, and i only had this car for 5 days.
its a 2007 estate 1.5 diesel
getting really nostalgic when i think of the days without ECUs
my old Convoy why did you have to die???
thanx

Re: alarm
not very busy here. maybe ppl are sick of alarm threads.
to be frank i been reading a lot of nonsense about it here
so here is how i figured out how to lock the car without activating the alarm:
open the window all the way and get out the car. shut the door.
reach inside and press the "i am scared" button, then insert the card, keep hold of it, with the other hand reach in as well and close the window, as soon as the window starts to raise, quickly pull the card out and step back as the window shuts.
now the central locking is on but the alarm is off.
take care don't get your hands stuck or even your head in case your leaning in. its the window because central locking doesnt work with the door open
i will use this method since i rarely ever lock the car anyway. it doesnt cost anything.
out of question to spend maybe hundreds on fixing the alarm when the car only cost 700£
cheerio
