So. Yesterday I was sitting in the car with the engine off but my foot on the brake pedal and the pedal started to sink. It's done this before and, as soon as I've started the engine, all's been good. This time, I started the engine, pedal came back up to pressure, I drove about 100 yards and the pressure had gone, the pedal pushed all the way down and the STOP light came on with the BRAKE SYSTEM warning. I've topped the fluid up just in case but it's made no difference... I think I have a leak somewhere. Does anyone have any advice as to where it might be?
I'm beginning to really miss my MG ZT...

Re: Brake System Fault
Might be a idea to start at the obvious fault points, After pedal goes soft look underneath car and check if any signs of fluid on the inner wheels and tyres also check if Master Cylinder leaking if no signs of a leak it more than likely a faulty Master Cylinder.
will be easier if wheels are removed to check rubber hoses and wheel cylinders...good luck with your problem

Re: Brake System Fault
That sounds like your Servo (Brake Booster) is leaking vacuum, test the operation of that first.
