Engine cutting out

Postby RichMR » Mon Mar 25, 2019 6:28 pm

I have a Megane 1.6 dinamique auto.
Car has developed a fault.
From cold, car drives ok, until the engine gets warm.
Once I've stopped and try and move off again, the engine instantly cuts out.
However if I put the car in reverse, it doesn't cut out at all.
I've had the driveshaft sensor replaced and still have the same problem.
Any ideas anyone?

Rich

Hi Rich,
Did you come right with this?
I'm experiencing the same issue with my Megane 2 1.9dci I am clueless as to what could cause it.

So i eventually came right. Turns out all i needed to do was remove and clean the TDC sensor (crank sensor) . Put it back and voila, no more engine cutting out.
