2009 megane bonnet not closin

Just been to top all fluids up. Went to close bonnet and it wont stay down/closed.. handle release inside has no tension. Dw40 spring on bonnet and locking arm but to no avail. No when i lock the car a high pitched noise sounds, im guessing telling me the bonnet is open. So now i cant lock it.

Any ideas and im not mechanically minded so cant do much. Thanks

Are you sure the spring that returns the lock into place hasnt come of mine did once bonnet wouldnt lock so undid the lock from crossmember and reattached spring refitted all good now
