That's disappointing, I though you had solved the problem good thinking with the piece of exhaust to decrease the hole size
I'm guessing you've tried this but would fitting the plate the other way round (inside out) help in any way?
The only other thing I can think of would be to hammer the plate flat (Not the centre hole area) then cut it down to size, you will probably have to extend the slot for the sensor to get it in the correct position and then fix it in place somehow.
Cheers.

Re: Rear ABS Fault Caused by totally rotten ABS Mount plates
I wish turning them the other way would work ! Unfortunately by doing that the sensor would then face the wrong way, lol.
I have given the company that provided me them some measurements though. I might even send one of the rotten holders to them, perhaps they will be able to re-manufacture them then.
Right now im stuck really, resorting to a friend at a scrappy who will be providing them for £35 a side. thats £70 for simple bloody holder rings. it is what it is i guess.
will post more when i have more info. Of course i am open to ideas still !
MOT in June, so bit of time to work with. damn car lol.

Obviously, but if the sensor facing the wrong way is the only problem with turning the plate just reform / discard the clip and position the sensor the correct way round and find a way to secure it. (Glue / Silicone)
You may find that if the plate is fitted the wrong way round it will not go back far enough to clear the hub when the disc is fitted, flattening the plate would then come into play.
At the end of the day all you need is a way of holding the sensor next to the tone wheel, yes it would be lovely to have the exact correct part in your hands but you don't, what you do have is the next best thing, a brand new plate that almost fits.
You have solved the problem of the centre hole being too big, all you have to do now is adjust the plate to hold the sensor next to the tone wheel, you are 99% there.
Cheers.

Re: Rear ABS Fault Caused by totally rotten ABS Mount plates
Well i said i would post an update when i got the problem sorted so here goes.
I resorted in buying 2 secondhand ones, purchased from Cit-Ren, Poringland, Howe Pits/Norwich Rd, Norwich NR15 1HJ
(in case anyone was wondering).
Luckily i am good friends with one of the guys there, got each one for £25, so that is a total of £50.
It is what is at this point i guess:
I proceeded to get the flaky rust off and then sprayed the darn buggers with a primer and then actual coat:
LMAO, you could almost pass them off as brand new from that picture. i will be damned if they ever rust again, at which point it will probably be so much more of a nightmare, than the car would be worth (another 10 years, perhaps, wishful thinking lol).
My mechanic laughed "hey they match the colour of the car", who can blame him lol.
#notbeatbyrenault ! lol £1,300 rear axle!? i think not !

Glad you're sorted.

posted this link already elsewhere but these do work:

Just a matter of looking around, those secondhand ones look pretty good as well. I don't understand why Renault don't just sell them separate anyway, they obviously know how to make them properly, would save messing about but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess.
