Megane 1.5Dci - Engine noise

Hello All,

I am having renault megane 1.5 dci and had driven 58500 miles so far. Recently I observed engine noise and took to couple of local garages and they are providing mixed messages. One of them says it needs 8 hours work to rip out the engine and observe what is the issue. Other one says the engine has to be completely replaced. Not sure what could be the cause. Has anyone encountered this issue and have found solution to it. Please help me with your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

Additional Note: With the current engine noise , the car still is in runnable condition. When I start the car, it struggles to start, with message on the dashboard saying "Check Injection" but if I attempt to start the car for second time , the car starts with no message in the dashboard but the engine sound prevails.

That's a tough one for anyone to comment on without hearing the noise.

Is it possible for you to make a decent video of the engine noise and post it up?
