Drivers side light out

Hi all, My drivers side headlight is not work, I have tried several bulbs but no joy... I have changed the clips on the end of wire that connect to bulb.... I am told that the drivers side front and passenger side back light run off the same fuse, and the back light is working!!! Does anyone know if that is correct??? Any help to get this working would be appreciated.
