Few problems unfortunately

Postby GriffinR26 » Mon Jan 07, 2019 4:54 pm

Hey everyone, new to this forum and hoping some wisdom can be spent on me
I've got a 2007 Megane R26 F1 edition that i bought 4 months ago with very little investigation because i fell in love with it. It has had a stage 1 remap prior to me buying it, possibly running 270+ BHP.

Problem 1 that started approx 2 weeks ago:
When i break whilst indicating left, all indicators on the passenger side speed up and the indicator light on the dash flashes as quick as it does when the bulbs kaput. Also worth mentioning, the rear passenger light and indicator alternates on the clicks. (indicator flashes=rear light goes off, indicator goes off=rear light comes back on), in addition, the rear light on the drivers side, dims a little bit when the passenger indicator comes on.

Problem 2:
my front tyres needed changing recently, it was when i had them changed that i realised that the front tyre dimensions did not match the back, is there some secret reason why they would have been changed? (better handling perhaps?)
also, i could do with some tyre recommendations for the car, taking into account cost and the increased power due to the remap?

Any help or pointers will be appreciated,
Thanks,
Jordan G

Thanks Joe,
That video was pretty good, problem is, one of the screws that hold the rear light in on my megane is completely seized and i've almost destroyed the grip of it trying to get it out
any hints on getting it out?
Cheers

You may have to destroy the grip (Plastic) bit off of it so you can then grip the metal threaded part with some grips.

If it's possible try to put some release oil onto the threaded part.

Try to give it a few taps with a small hammer and punch, this may help break any rust bond.

Good luck.

Cheers.
