Mk2 Exterior door handle removal

Hi all,
Have found information on how to remove exterior door handle (passenger door for me on my Mk2 CC) by removing a grommet from the door, inserting a hook around a latch, then pull to release the handle from the door. What I haven't found is anything on reinstating the handle. It might be clear and obvious with the handle off but I'm wary of doing the off bit without any insight on how it easily it goes back. Anyone done it?
