no washers but known good washer motor 2006 1.5dci estate

Got a 2006 estate 1.5dci
The front and rear washers didnt work ,
checked the fuse in the glove box and it seems ok.
swapped the washer bottle motor out for a working one from my spare 2005 1.5DCI and still no luck..
I even swapped over the stalks thinking that may be the problem.. no change again.
I cant hear the motor working when the buttons pressed or when I pull the stalk towards me..
Basically Im out of ideas? is there a fuse or relay I dont know about? how should I check the wiring?
Any help appreciated
Oh yeah, airbag warning so Im gonna pull the drivers side one out again and see if Ive missed anything there/
