rearbrakes

Postby scooper1000 » Tue Jun 26, 2018 9:57 am

Hi not sure if this is the right page but I am replacing the rear discs and pads over the next week or so. I know the rear brake cylinders have to be wound back clockwise according to Mr Haynes but do both sides go clockwise I would have thought the nearside went clockwise and the drivers side went anti-clockwise..am I right or got it all wrong....THANKS

Hi,
not sure but you'll soon find out. ( Haynes only mentions clockwise )
Trick is to undo the bleed nipple as you turn them in makes it a lot easier.

Both go same way. Hope your pad carrier bracket is secured with normal bolts and not torx bolts, all four had to be cut off on mine, could not shift them.
