Can anyone please tell me will it be ok to use this oil ELF EVOLUTION SXR 5W-30 in this car or will it cause problems at this strength

Hi,
I'm sure it would be fine.
In my car now having done 170k l do put 10/40 as it's a bit worn, still goes well though.
The lower number is the viscosity when hot, the higher when cold, Elf is a good name.
Main thing is to do oil changes and don't neglect, many do and come unstuck.

Hi I thought it would be ok my car's got 85000 and it runs without problems I've always use this ELF ULTIMATE 5W-40 the reason I was thinking of trying the 5W-30 because I got the oil from an auction three 5LT and only paid £25 and they were sealed

Great news I've put this oil in ELF EVOLUTION SXR 5W-30 have been running the car now for nearly 5 days and notice the Difference the car seem to go a lot smoother and also a bit more faster acceleration,
