Hi everyone ,
First of all let me wish you a happy new year, may all ur wishes come true this year. Its my firt post here and wanted to ask some question.
I never owned before any reanult. On december i bought a Renault Megane 1.9 dci ,automatic ,2007,station wagon.
Wheels 205/50/r17
First problem appeared 2 days ago, while driving the doors started to lock/unlock automatically.
Second problem is the fuel consumption. It does spend too much fuel, the dashboard average says 9.0L/100 km.If i replace the wheels from 17 to 15 does it consume less fuel?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english

Re: Some question about Megane 1.9 dci automatic 2007
Hi,
happy new year to you also.
On the first point, can't be certain, but it could be damp inside the drivers door, these cars are well known for water ingress there. Also check inside your card key for condensation.
As for the wheels, I believe it would be lower geared and so worse on fuel.
Maybe someone with an automatic may come on and tell you if yours is normal.
Mine is a 6 speed manual and averages 10p a mile but no long distance driving. ( £20 of diesel for 200 miles ) had a Clio that was no better.
Bob.
